MISSION STATEMENT

The National Village Men’s Club’s mission is to develop and maintain membership participation in an environment of positivity, encouragement, and camaraderie.  This will be accomplished through monthly meetings that provide educational opportunities through its speaker program of interest to members; identify and support ongoing and new local service projects allowing its members to serve the local community (both inside and out of National Village); share and leverage individual knowledge and skill; and provide social opportunities for members and guests.  The National Village Men’s Club should strive to be a voice to the leadership of the National Village Property Owners Association.

The National Village Men’s Club meets monthly on the second Tuesday of the month at the Grille at Grand National G.C. Happy hour begins at 5:30, dinner is served at 6:30, and the speaker will begin around 6:45. Please RSVP so we know you will join us!

January 13th Meeting

Speaker – Jere Colley, Probate Judge for Lee County

Jere Colley, a lifelong resident of Lee County, now resides in Opelika with his family. He attended Auburn Elementary, Lee Academy, Lee-Scott Academy, and graduated from Opelika High School before earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Samford University and a Juris Doctorate from Thomas G. Jones School of Law. After law school, he became Lee County’s first family court clerk under Judge Richard Lane and later opened his own practice in Opelika. Since 2001, he has served as a Juvenile Contract Attorney and, for the past twelve years, has been appointed to preside over juvenile and child support cases under Judge Chris Hughes and Judge Mike Fellows. His work involves overseeing delinquency, dependency, CHINS, and child support cases. Additionally, he has served under Judge Hal Smith and Judge Bill English in probate court, where he finds adoptions to be the most rewarding part of his career.

Beyond his legal work, Jere is actively involved in the Lee County community. He serves on several boards, including Mercy Medical Center, Central Alabama Mountain Peddlers, and as President of the Alabama Cycling Association Board. He has also dedicated time to local organizations such as Big House, Walk to Emmaus, and Youth for Christ. Passionate about youth development, he has coached Auburn High and Lee County Mountain Bike Teams, youth recreational league football, and little league baseball. Through his legal career and community involvement, Jere remains committed to serving Lee County with integrity and dedication.

Dr. Glenn Woods

Glenn M. Woods, M.D. practices at Pain Management Physicians. Dr. Woods earned his medical degree from UAB, where he also completed his anesthesiology residency.
