MISSION STATEMENT

The National Village Men’s Club’s mission is to develop and maintain membership participation in an environment of positivity, encouragement, and camaraderie.  This will be accomplished through monthly meetings that provide educational opportunities through its speaker program of interest to members; identify and support ongoing and new local service projects allowing its members to serve the local community (both inside and out of National Village); share and leverage individual knowledge and skill; and provide social opportunities for members and guests.  The National Village Men’s Club should strive to be a voice to the leadership of the National Village Property Owners Association.

UPCOMING EVENTS

The National Village Men’s Club meets monthly on the second Tuesday of the month at the Grille at Grand National G.C. Happy hour begins at 5:30, dinner is served at 6:30, and the speaker will begin around 6:45. Please RSVP so we know you will join us!

Dinner Meeting with Dr. David Bottomlee

The Mens Club wants to give a  huge thank you to our May speakers and NVPOA board members , Gary Fulmer and Cindy Pierce. Their annual update on NVPOA activities was both informative and appreciated. 

Our next meeting is Tuesday June 16th and the speaker will be Dr. David Bottomlee. 

Dr. David “Rock” Bottomlee is the Director of Flight Education at Auburn University’s School of Aviation. He earned his PhD in Public Policy and Public Administration from Auburn. Before coming to Auburn’s aviation program, he served as the Dean of the U. S. Air Force’s Air War College. Additionally, he served in the U.S. Air Force for thirty years and is a command pilot, instructor pilot, and flight evaluator with thousands of hours in fighter and trainer aircraft such as the F-16 and T-38C. He has over one hundred hours of combat flying experience and also earned an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) rating. His aviation experience began as a soaring instructor pilot and aerobatic demonstration pilot at the U. S. Air Force Academy where he graduated with a B.S. in Political Science.

The meeting will be our standard schedule:

5:30 Social Hour

6:30 Dinner- BBQ Night

6:50 until …..  Speaker 

The website should be open for signups, or just drop off  your check in the shoe box at Norm’s house.
